At the beginning of the Russian invasion in February 2022, the EU and G7 froze Russian central bank assets worth 210 billion euros. Ukraine is demanding reparations far in excess of this. The G7 created a USD 50 billion loan for Ukraine, secured by interest income from frozen assets. What else has been done so far to make the frozen Russian central bank assets available to Ukraine? What legal and economic risks need to be overcome? This is a partner event by DUB and Democratic Strategy Initiative e.V.
