On November 26, the German-Ukrainian Bureau (DUB), in partnership with Democracy Reporting International, will hold a series of in-depth workshops and a panel discussion in Berlin focused on the resilience of Ukrainian democracy under the strain of Russia’s ongoing military aggression.
As the war nears its fourth year, Ukraine's democratic institutions continue to operate despite extraordinary pressures and wartime restrictions. Against the backdrop of relentless security and economic pressures, a crucial question arises: How is Ukraine’s democracy withstanding the immense challenges at both the national and local levels?
The event entitled ‘Democracy in War: Resilience and Future of Ukraine's Democratic Institutions’ will convene Ukrainian and German experts, including policymakers, civil society leaders, legal analysts, and media representatives, for an in-depth exchange on the state of Ukraine’s wartime governance. The detailed program of workshops and the evening panel discussion is available here.
If you are in Berlin and interested in participating in the event, please register your interest by November 22:
To participate in the closed workshops for policy analysts and experts (number of places is limited)
The event is organised in partnership with the Reanimation Package of Reforms Coalition, Center of Policy and Legal Reforms, The German Plattform for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, and is part of the Ukraine-DARE project supported by the German Federal Foreign Office.
